Patterns

Here are links to patterns of several objects we did in the group or which we were talking about.

Knitting

Kitten	A little cat, made of three pieces, simple to make I used it on my key ring and USB-stick to distinguish them from other stuff.
Purse	A little purse for beginners, made out of one piece. The purse is finished off with crochet.
Laced coat hanger	Pleasant looking coat hangers wrapped with knitted in lace. A nice padded coat hanger for those special clothes
Little blanket	Very easy sideway knitted blanket for premature babies. We knit them for hospitals in Sheffield and Rotherham. The pattern is from here.
Angel Pocket	(Text not ready yet)

Crochet

Square	A  traditional square, to use for all kinds of projects. This pattern must be one of the oldest.

BLANKET STOP:
At the moment (second half of 2010) the amount of blankets donated is sufficient for quite a while. As soon as more blankets are needed, we will let you know.

The shawl / blanket for the women in the Dr Hamlin Fistula Hospital in Ethiopia is made out of 6 rows each with 8 bright coloured blocks

Needed:

DK in a few different bright colour,
knitting needles size 8 / 4mm

Cast on 30 sts - Knit 60 rows

Start a new colour, knit again 60 rows.

Knit in this way until you have a long strip of 8 differently coloured block.
Cast off.

Knit 6 of these strips and sew them together
